Goblin Valley State Park is a remote area located in the vast colorful deserts of southern Utah. In this interesting section of desert, the landscape is dominated by toadstool shaped hoodoos that have been named goblins here. While most sections of southern Utah also have hoodoos, only in this area are they dominantly toadstool shaped due to the overlying layer of sandstone being more resistant to erosion than the underlying layers. The result is thinner underlying layers capped by larger overlying layers, as seen captured here by The Wild Images Team.
